The Defector (srpskohrvatski: Prebjeg) je epizoda američke science fiction TV-serije Star Trek: The Next Generation premijerno prikazana 1. januara 1990. godine. Radnja prikazuje kako romulanski oficir dolazi na USS Enterprise tražeći azil i zauzvrat nudi strogo povjerljive podatke o predstojećoj romulanskoj invaziji iz Neutralne zone.

The Defector započinje scenom u kojoj Data u holodceku tumači Henryja V u istoimenoj Shakespeareovoj drami; u istoj sceni se Patrick Stewart pojavljuje u sceni kao holografski Michael Williams, jedan od kraljevih vojnika u drami.
