Luc Paul Maurice Besson (Pariz, Francuska; 18.3. 1959., - ) je francuski filmski režiser, producent i scenarist. Najpoznatiji je po modernim akcijskim filmovima i trilerima koji su pokazali vizualnu raskoš te bili namijenjeni privlačenju široke publike. Najpoznatiji su mu filmovi Léon, Peti element, Veliko plavetnilo i Nikita. Filmovi su mu postali hitovi i izvan Francuske.

1980., osnovao je vlastitu filmsku kompaniju, Les Films du Loup, a kasnije Les Films du Dauphin. Kasnije je proširio repertoar kofinanciranjem produkcijske kompanije EuropaCorp. Tijekom rane faze karijere često je surađivao sa glumcem Jeanom Renom.

Za film Subway je nominiran za nagradu BAFTA za najbolji strani film. Nominiran je i za 10 nagrada César, a osvojio je jednu 1998. za najbolju režiju za film Peti element.
