Dorothee Steffensky-Sölle (rođ. Nipperdey; Köln, 30. 9. 1929. – Göppingen, 27. 4. 2003), njemačka teologinja oslobođenja, spisateljica i profesorica.

Sölle je studirala teologiju, filozofiju i književnost na Univerzitetu u Kölnu i doktorirala je na temu odnosa teologije i poezije. Akademsku karijeru započela je predavajući u Aachenu, a potom se zaposlila kao profesorica na matičnom Univerzitetu u Kölnu. Bila je angažirana u politici i držala je govore protiv Vijetnamskog rata, utrke u naoružanju tokom Hladnog rata, te nepravdi kod zemalja u razvoju. Od 1968. do 1972. organizirala je Politisches Nachtgebet (političke noćne molitve) u Kölnu. Između 1975. i 1987. godine provela je šest mjeseci predavajući na Teološkom učilištu u New Yorku (engl. Union Theological Seminary) gdje je radila kao profesorica sistematske teologije. Godine 1994. dodijeljena joj je počasna profesura na Univerzitetu u Hamburgu.

Sölle je napisala velik broj knjiga, kao što su "Teologija za skeptike: Razmišljanja o Bogu, tihi plač: misticizam i otpor" (2001) i autobiografiju "Protiv vjetra: memoari radikalne kršćanke" (1999). U knjizi "Iza puke poslušnosti: razmišljanja o kršćanskoj etici za budućnost" upotrijebila je portmanteau termin "kristofašizam" za fundamentaliste. Jedno od njenih najpoznatijih djela je i "Patnja" u kojoj se kritizira kršćanski mazohizam i teološki sadizam. Sölle kritizira pretpostavke da je Bog svemoćan i uzrok patnje, te tvrdi da ljudska patnja postoji zbog više svrhe. Ljudi su dužni boriti se zajedno protiv ugnjetavanja, seksizma, antisemitizma i drugih oblika autoritarizma.

Sölle se udavala dvaput i imala je četvero djece. Godine 1954. udala se za umjetnika Dietricha Söllea kojem je rodila troje djece – Martinu (r. 1956), Michaelu (r. 1957) i Carolinu (r. 1961). Par se razveo 1964. godine, a pet godina kasnije udala se za benediktinskog redovnika (Fullbert Steffensky) kojem je rodila kćer Mirjam (r. 1970).
