Sumpor reduktaza (EC 1.97.1.3) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom (donor):sumpor oksidoreduktaza.[1] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- redukcija elementarnog sumpora ili polisulfida do vodonik sulfida
Sumpor se može redukovati vodonikom kao donorom u prisustvu hidrogenaze, ili putem fotohemijske redukcije u prisustvu fenosafranina.
