Mutaza je enzim iz klase izomeraza koji katalizuje prelaz funkcionalne grupe iz jedne pozicije u drugu unutar istog molekula.[1][2] Primeri enzima ove grupe su bisfosfogliceratna mutaza,[3] koja je prisutna u crvenim krvnim zrncima i fosfogliceratna mutaza, koja učestvuje u glikolizi, gde menja 3-fosfoglicerat u 2-fosfoglicerat. Ona menja poziciju fosfatne grupe.
