Sferoiden monooksigenaza (EC 1.14.15.9, CrtA, aciklična karotenoidna 2-ketolaza, spiriloksantinska monooksigenaza, 2-okso-spiriloksantinska monooksigenaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom sferoiden,redukovani-feredoksin:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza (formira sferoiden-2-on).[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- sferoiden + redukovani feredoksin + O2 sferoiden-2-on + oksidovani feredoksin + H2O
- spiriloksantin + redukovani feredoksin + O2 2-oksospiriloksantin + oksidovani feredoksin + H2O
- 2'-oksospiriloksantin + redukovani feredoksin + O2 2,2'-dioksospiriloksantin + oksidovani feredoksin + H2O
Ovaj enzim učestvuje u biosintezi sferoidenona i 2,2'-dioksospiriloksantina. Enzim iz Rhodobacter sphaeroides sadrži heme u svom aktivnom mestu.
