Katalaza-peroksidaza (EC 1.11.1.21, katG (gen)) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom donor:vodonik-peroksid oksidoreduktaza.[1][2][3][4][5] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- (1) donor + H2O2 oksidovani donor + 2 H2O
- (2) 2 H2O2 O2 + 2 H2O
Ovaj enzim se razlikuje od EC 1.11.1.7 peroksidaze po tome što ima relativno jako katalazno dejstvo sa H2O2 kao donorom, pri čemu se formira O2.
