2-Metilizoborneolna sintaza (EC 4.2.3.118, sco7700, 2-MIB ciklaza, MIB sintaza, MIBS) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom (E)-2-metilgeranil-difosfat difosfat-lijaza (ciklizacija, formira 2-metilizoborneol).[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- (E)-2-metilgeranil difosfat + H2O 2-metilizoborneol + difosfat
Produkat, 2-metilizoborneol, je karakteristično jedinjenje ustajalog mirisa koje otpuštaju zemljišni mikroorganizmi.
