Bornan (kamfan) je jedinjenje koje je blisko srodno sa norbornanima.[3]
Bornan se formira tokom biosinteze kamfora iz geranil pirofosfata, putem ciklizacije linaloil pirofosfata do bornil pirofosfata.[4]
