Istorija predmeta
Deutsch: Das Wappen des Landkreises Kusel wurde am 13. Dezember 1965 vom rheinland-pfälzischen Innenministerium verliehen. Es zeigt die Wappen der historischen Territorien des heutigen Kreisgebietes die Löwen des Herzogtums Pfalz-Zweibrücken als eine Linie der Pfälzer Wittelsbacher und der Grafschaft Veldenz.
English: The arms were officially granted on December 13, 1965. The arms combine elements from the former territories, who ruled in the district. They show the lions of the Duchy of Palatinate-Zweibrücken and the County of Veldenz. The largest part of the district belonged in the late Middle Ages to the Counts of Veldenz. From 1393-1444 the Counts of Palatinate-Zweibrücken gradually acquired most of the district and kept it until the end of the 19th century.
