Benzil reduktaza (formira (S)-benzoin) (EC 1.1.1.320, YueD) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom (S)-benzoin:NADP+ oksidoreduktaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- (S)-benzoin + NADP+ benzil + NADPH + H+
Ovaj enzim takođe redukuje 1-fenilpropan-1,2-dion. Enzim iz Bacillus cereus dodatno redukuje 1,4-naftohinon i 1-(4-metilfenil)-2-feniletan-1,2-dion sa visokom efikasnošću.
