Jonathan Safran Foer (1977.-) je američki pisac najpoznatiji po svom romanu Everything Is Illuminated iz 2002 godine.
Studirao je na Princetonu, gdje mu je predavala Joyce Carol Oates i potakla interes za pisanje. Godine 1999. je otišao u Ukrajinu na put koji je poslužio inspiracija za njegov roman Everything Is Illuminated, adaptiran u igrani film Lieva Schreibera 2005. godine.
Foerov stariji brat Franklin je urednik časopisa The New Republic, a brat Joshua freelance novinar specijaliziran za naučne teme.
Trenutno živi u Brooklynu, zajedno sa svojom suprugom, romansijerkom Nicole Krauss i sinom Sashom.
