Plazmepsin II (EC 3.4.23.39, aspartinska hemoglobinaza II, PFAPD) je enzim.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- Hidroliza veza koje povezuju pojedine hidrofobne ostatke hemoglobina ili globina. Takođe dolazi do razlaganja malih molekula, kao što su Ala-Leu-Glu-Arg-Thr-Phe-Phe(NO2)-Ser-Phe-Pro-Thr
Ovaj enzim je pristan u malarijskom organizmu, Plasmodium.
