Geosminska sintaza (EC 4.1.99.16) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom germakradienol geosmin-lijaza (formira aceton).[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- (1E,4S,5E,7R)-germakra-1(10),5-dien-11-ol + H2O (-)-geosmin + aceton
Za dejstvo ovog enzima je neophodan jon Mg2+.
