The Importance of Being Earnest (srpskohrvatski: Važno je zvati se Earnest) je britanska filmska komedija snimljena 1952. u režiji Anthonyja Asquitha. Predstavlja adaptaciju istoimenog kazališnog komada Oscara Wildea. Radnja je smještena u viktorijansko doba, a protagonisti - koje tumače Michael Redgrave i Michael Denison - su dva prijatelja koja su, svaki iz svojih razloga, preuzeli, odnosno stvorili lažne identitete kako bi mogli izbjegavati različite društvene obaveze.
