TRNK (citozin38-C5)-metiltransferaza (EC 2.1.1.204, hDNMT2 (gen), DNMT2 (gen), TRDMT1 (gen)) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom S-adenozil-L-metionin:tRNK (citozin38-C5)-metiltransferaza.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- S-adenozil-L-metionin + citozin38 u tRNK S-adenozil-L-homocistein + 5-metilcitozin38 u tRNK
Eukariotski enzim katalizuje metilaciju citozina38 u anti-kodonskoj petlji tRNKAsp(GTC), tRNKVal(AAC) i tRNKGly(GCC). Metilacija posredstvom Dnmt2 enzima štiti tRNK molekule protiv stresom indukovanog odsecanja ribonukleazom.
