Sarkozin reduktaza (EC 1.21.4.3) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom acetil-fosfat metilamin:tioredoksin disulfid oksidoreduktaza (formira N-metilglicin).[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- acetil fosfat + metilamin + tioredoksin disulfid + H2O N-metilglicin + fosfat + tioredoksin
Reakcija se odvija u smeru redukcije sarkozina. Enzim iz Eubakterija kiselinaaminophilum sadrži podjedinice A, B i C. Podjedinica B sadrži selenocistein i piruvoilnu grupu, i odgovorna je za vezivanje sarkozina i otpuštanje metilamina.
