Relativistička kvantna mehanika
U fizici, relativistička kvantna mehanika (RQM) je kvantna mehanika (QM) primenjena u saglasnosti sa principima specijalne relativivnosti (SR). Ova teorija je primenljiva na masivne čestice koje se kreću svim brzinama, sve do onih koje su uporedive sa brzinom svetlosti c, a primenljiva je i na čestice bez mase. Ova teorija nalazi primenu u fizici visoke energije,[1] fizici elementarnih čestica i akceleratorskoj fizici,[2] kao i u atomskoj fizici, hemiji[3] i fizici kondenzovane materije.[4][5] Nerelativistička kvantna mehanika je matematička formulacija kvantne mehanike primenjena u kontekstu Galilejanske relativnosti, specifičnije kvantizacija jednačina klasične mehanike putem zamene dinamičkih promenljivih operatora. Relativistička kvantna mehanika (RQM) je kvantna mehanika primenjena u saglasnositi sa specijalnom relativnošću, ali ne i opštom relativnošću. Pokušaj inkorporacije generalne relativnosti u kvantnu teoriju je tema kvantne gravitacije, jednog od nerešenih problema fizike. Mada su ranije formulacije, poput Šredingerove i Hajzenbergove slike originalno formulisane u nerelativističkom kontekstu, te interpretacije kvantne mehanike su takođe primenljive u uslovima specijalne relativnosti.
