The Zizhi Tongjian (pojednostavljeni kineski: 资治通鉴; tradicionalni kineski: 資治通鑒; pinyin: Zīzhì Tōngjiàn; Wade-Giles: Tzu-chih T'ung-chien; doslovno "Sveobuhvatno ogledalo za pomoć vladi") je jedan od najznačajnijih tekstova kineske historiografije, originalno izdan godine 1084. u obliku kronika. Godine 1065. je car Yingzong od Songa naredio historičaru Sima Guangu (1019–1086) da zajedno sa učenjacima među kojima su bili Liu Shu, Liu Ban i Fan Zuyu,[1] sačini kompilaciju univerzalne historije Kine. Taj je zadatak obavljen za 19 godina,[1] a godine 1084. je predstavljen Yingzongovom nasljedniku caru Shenzongu. Zizhi Tongjian daje prikaz kineske historije od 403. pne. do 959. n.e. pri čemu je pokriveno 16 dinastija i 1363 godina,[1] u 24 toma (巻) i oko 3 miliona kineskih slova.
