Kalvinizam je ucenje nastalo tokom reformacije rimokatulicke crkve. Javlja se u Svajcarskoj, a kasnije se siri i na druge evropske drzave. Dobilo je ime po Zaku Kalvinu koji je u Zenevi propovedao ucenje o predestinaciji. On je govorio da su svi ljudi vec unapred odredjeni za raj ili pakao i da oni to ne mogu da znaju niti da promene. Jedino sto bi moglo da ukaze da li ste odredjeni za raj ili pako, to je vas uspeh u poslu. Ako bi vam dobro isli poslovi, to bi znacilo da ste odredjeni za raj. |

Kalvinizam(za koga se ponekad koristi izraz reformirana tradicija, reformirana vjera, reformirano kršćanstvo ili reformirana teologija) je teološki sistem, odnosno kršćanska doktrina koja naglašava ulogu Boga iznad svih stvari.[1] Razvili su ga teolozi kao Martin Bucer, Heinrich Bullinger, Peter Martyr Vermigli io Huldrych Zwingli te je imala utjecaj na engleske reformatore kao što su Thomas Cranmer i John Jewel, ali je ima dobila po francuskom reformatoru Jeanu Calvinu s obzirom da je na nju imao snažan utjecaj, kao i na vjerske rasprave u okviru protestantizma 17. vijeka. Danas se taj izraz koristi i za doktrine reformiranih crkava čiji je Calvin bio rani vođa. Nešto rjeđe se koristi za nauk samog Calvina.[2] Sistem je najpoznatiji po doktrinama kao što su predestinacija i potpuna izopačenost.
