Nesiritid (Natrecor) je rekombinantna forma 32 aminokiseline dugog ljudskog B-tipa natriuretskog peptida, koji se prirodno formira u ventrikularnom miokardijumu. Nesiritid deluje tako što posreduje homeostazu kardiovaskularnog fluida putem regulacije renin-angiotenzin-aldoesteronskog sistema, stimulacije cikličnog guanozin monofosfata, što dovodi do relaksacije glatkih mišića.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
