Makrofagna elastaza (EC 3.4.24.65, metaloelastaza, ljudska makrofagna metaloelastaza (HME)) je enzim.[1][2][3][4] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- Hidroliza rastvornog i nerastvornog elastina. Do specifičnog razlaganja takođe dolazi u Ala14-Leu- i -Tyr16-Leu- u B lancu insulina
Ovaj enzim se formira iz proenzima sa masom od 53 kDa.
