Kostunolid sintaza (EC 1.14.13.120, kostunolidna sintaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom germakra-1(10),4,11(13)-trien-12-oat,NADPH:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza (6alfa-hidroksilacija).[1] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- germakra-1(10),4,11(13)-trien-12-oat + NADPH + H+ + O2 (+)-kostunolid + NADP+ + 2H2O
A heme-tiolate protein (P-450). Ovaj enzim hidroksiliše ugljenik C-6 germakra-1(10),4,11(13)-trien-12-oata i daje 6alfa-hidroksigermakra-1(10),4,11(13)-trien-12-oat, koji se spontano ciklizuje i formira laktonski prsten.
