Ian Buruma (28. decembar 1951. – ) je nizozemski publicist i akademik koji živi i radi u SAD. Poznat je prije svega po knjigam koje se bave azijskom kulturom, odnosno historijom Kine i Japana u 20. vijeku.

Njegov ujak je bio znameniti britanski sineast John Schlesinger.
