Jane Lynch (Džejn Linč, rođena 14. jula, 1960.) je američka komičarka, glumica i pevačica. Poznata je po svojim ulogama u komedijama, kao što su Best in Show i The 40-Year-Old Virgin, po sporednoj ulozi Dr. Linde Freeman, Charlieve sarkastične terapeutkinje u seriji Two and a Half Men i kao majka Spencera Reida, Diana Reid u seriji Criminal Minds. Trenutno glumi lik Sue Sylvester u muzičkoj-komediji, Glee. Davala je glas jednoj od ogrica u filmu Shrek Forever After.

Lynch je rođena i odrasla u Doltonu u Illinoisu, kao ćerka domaćice i bankara.[2] Odrastala je u irskoj katoličkoj porodici.[2] Studirala je pozorišnu umetnost i diplomirala je na Univerzitet u Illinoisu, a MA je dobila na univerzitetu Cornell.

Svoje veliko pozorišno iskustvo Lynch je započela da gradi sa trupom The Second City, glumeći Carol Bradu u The Real Live Brady Bunch. Takođe, napisala je i glumila je u nagrađivanoj predstavi Oh Sister, My Sister. Prvi put izvedena 1998. godine, ova predstava je postala hit u programu Lesbians in Theater pri Gej i lezbejskom centru u L.A.-u, 2004.
Filmska uloga sa kojom se probila bila je lik Christy Cummings, the butch lezbejke, odgajivačice pasa u pseudo-dokumentarcu Best in Show (2000). Pojavila se takođe u A Mighty Wind (2003) u liku porno glumice koja je postala folk pevačlica, Laurie Bohner, kao i u filmu For Your Consideration (2006).
Lynch se pojavljivala u brojnim ulogama u serijama kao što su: L.A. Law, Judging Amy, The West Wing, 7th Heaven, Friends, Felicity, Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men, Weeds, Boston Legal, The L Word, Criminal Minds, Help Me Help You, Gilmore Girls, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Psych, Monk, Party Down itd.
Godine, 2005. amerčka organizacija POWER UP ju je imanovala jednom od "10 neverovatnih lezbejki u Showbizu"
Posebno je bila zapažena, i od strane kritike i od strane publike, u filmu The 40-Year-Old Virgin. U jednom intervjuu je rekla da je ova uloga bila prvobitno napisana za muškarca, ali je na insistiranje Nancy Walls, supruge Steva Carella poverena njoj.[3] Od tada je glumila u nizu filmova, kao što su Role Models, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Space Chimps, The Rocker, The Hammer, Another Cinderella Story, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs i Spring Breakdown.[4]
Nedavno je glumila u filmu Julie and Julia, igrajući Dorothy McWilliams, sestru Julije Child. Entertainment Weekly je posvetio članak mogućnosti da za ovu ulogu bude nominovana za Oscara[5][6]
Lynch trenutno glumi u FOX-ovoj seriji Glee. Dobila je izuzetne kritike za njenu ulogu agresivne trenerke navijačica, Sue Sylvester. Mary McNamara je za LA Times napisala: "Zbog Lynch vredi gledati Glee."[7] Lynch je bila nominovana za Zlatni globus[8]

Lynch je otvoreno lezbejka i u braku je sa svojom suprugom, Dr. Larom Embry od 31. maja, 2010. godine.
