6-Metilsalicilna kiselina sintaza (EC 2.3.1.165, MSAS, 6-metilsalicilno kiselinska sintaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom acil-KoA:malonil-KoA C-aciltransferaza (dekarboksilacija, oksoacilna redukcija, tioestarska hidroliza i ciklizacija).[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- acetil-KoA + 3 malonil-KoA + NADPH + H+ 6-metilsalicilat + 4 KoA + 3 CO2 + NADP+ +H2O
Ovaj multienzimski kompleks sadrži 4'-fosfopanteteinsku prostetičku grupu.
