Ribonukleaza M5 (EC 3.1.26.8, RNaza M5, 5S ribozomalna maturaciona nukleaza, 5S ribozomalna RNK maturaciona endonukleaza) je enzim.[1] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- Endonukleolitičko razlaganje RNK, uklanjanje 21 i 42 nukleotida, respektivno, sa 5'- i 3'-kraja 5S-rRNK prekurzora
Ovaj enzim konvertuje 5S-rRNK prekurzor iz bakterije Bacillus subtilis u 5S-rRNK, sa 5'-fosfatnim i 3'-hidroksi grupama.
