Karikain (EC 3.4.22.30, papajina peptidaza A, papajina peptidaza II, papajina proteinaza, papajina proteinaza III, papajina proteinaza 3, proteinaza omega, papajina proteinaza A, himopapain S, Pp) je enzim.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- Hidroliza proteina sa širokom specifičnošću za peptidne veze, slično dejstvu papaina i himopapaina
Ovaj enzim je izolovan iz papajinog ploda, Carica papaya.
