Sterol O-aciltransferaza (EC 2.3.1.26, holestarolna aciltransferaza, sterol-estarska sintaza, sterol-estarska sintetaza, sterol-estarska sintaza, acil koenzim A-holestarol-O-aciltransferaza, acil-KoA:holestarol aciltransferaza, ACAT, acilkoenzim A:holestarol O-aciltransferaza, holestarol estarska sintaza, holestarol estarska sintetaza, holestaril estarska sintetaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom acil-KoA:holestarol O-aciltransferaza.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- acil-KoA + holesterol KoA + holesterol estar
Životinjski enzim je visoko specifičan za transfer acil grupa.
