Sir Stanley Spencer KCB CBE RA (30. jun 1891 – 14. decembar 1959) bio je engleski slikar. Poznat je po opusu koji se uglavnom bavi bibkijskim prizorima, ali koji su prikazani ne u Svetoj zemlji nego u rodnom selu Cookham na obalama Temze, koju je zvao "selom na nebu."

Spencer je za vrijeme prvog svjetskog rata služio kao britanski vojnik na solunskom frontu, a potom kao službeni "ratni umjetnik", što je ponovio za drugog svjetskog rata.

Bio je oženjen dva puta, oba puta za talentirane slikarice. Prva supruga mu je bila Hilda Carline, s kojom je imao dvije kćeri. Od nje se razveo kada se zaljubio za Patriciu Preece; nakon što se udala za njega, priznala mu je da je lezbijka i nastavila živjeti sa svojom partnericom Dorothy Hepsworth. Njegovi pokušaji da se razvede nisu uspjeli, te je vanbračno živio sa svojom bivšom suprugom do njene smrti. To je kasnije postalo motiv za kazališni komad Stanley engleske dramatičarke Pam Gems.
