Robert Penn Warren (24. april 1905 - 15. septembar 1989) bio je američki književnik. Iako se istakao kao kritičar i teoretičar i bio poznat kao jedan osnivača tzv. Novog kriticizma, te kao pjesnik dobio nekoliko Pulitzerovih nagrada za poeziju, najpoznatiji je kao autor političkog romana Svi kraljevi ljudi. Na taj roman, kao i na najveći dio njegovog opusa, je snažno uticalo južnjačko porijeklo, zahvaljujući kome je od 1930-ih do 1950-ih pripadao konzervativnom kružoku tzv. Južnih agrarijanaca koji su nastojali očuvati specifični kulturni identitet i način života Juga. Godine 1956. je, međutim, podržao pokret za građanska prava i rasnu integraciju.
