Minojska erupcija There, oko 1600. pne., bila je jedna od najvećih vulkanskih erupcija na Zemlji u periodu pisane ljudske historije. Erupcija je uništila najveći dio otoka Thera, zajedno s minojskim gradovima u neposrednoj okolici i na sjevernoj obali Krete, što je doprinijelo kolapsu minojske kulture. Pored toga, erupcija je izazvala značajne klimatske promjene u oblasti Mediterana, Egejskog mora i većeg dijela Sjeverne hemisfere. Postoje dokazi da je erupcija izazvala slab urod u Kini, inspirirala određene grčke mitove, doprinijela političkom kaosu u Egiptu, i utjecala na mnoge biblijske priče u Knjizi Izlaska.
