James Baskett (16. februar 1904 - 9. jul 1948) je američki glumac, najpoznatiji po ulozi Uncle Remusa u igrano-animiranom filmu Song of the South. Za tu je ulogu 1948. nagrađen specijalnim Oscarom, postavši prvi crni glumac (ne računajući Hattie McDaniel u Prohujalo s vihorom) koji je dobio tu nagradu.
