Fred W. Friendly (30. oktobar 1915. — 3. mart 1998.) bio je američki novinar, najpoznatiji po tome što je 1950-ih i 1960-ih bio predsjednik informativnog programa TV-mreže CBS. Na tom je mjestu blisko surađivao sa znamenitim novinarom i voditeljem Edwardom R. Murrowom, a njih dvojica su zajedno stvorili TV-emisiju See It Now.

U filmu Good Night and Good Luck njegov lik tumači George Clooney.
